On May 19, 2010, AAMO Board of Directors unanimously selected Ustad Fazl Ghani Mogaddedi as Chairman of the Board. Ustad
Mogaddedi is a well-known Afghan Islamic scholar and researcher who has written and published dozens of books and articles
on various Islamic and historical subjects.
Ustad Mogaddedi is a regular guest on many Aghan satellite TV shows and is best known for his tireless commitment to public
service. he is an internation figure among Afghans and is highly regarded as a positive voice of Islam, offering a unique
and valuable perspective on issues involving Muslims living in the West. He has travelled to Canada, Europe, and many
cities in the U.S. to lecture on Islam and Muslims.
Ustad Mogaddedi received his B.A. and M.A. in Islamic History from Cairo University in Egypt. After his studies, he worked
for years in Egypt to review, write, and publish textbooks about various Islamic subjects for schools internationally.
Currently, he is the chief editor of a monthly newsletter called 'Fiqh i Islami', which has more than 5000 subscribers.
AAMO Board of Directors and its members are gracious and thankful that Ustad Mogaddedi accepted this position in spite
of all of his other activities and research work and we look forward to work under his leadership to enhance AAMO activies
nationwide.
