About Us
Afghan American Muslim Outreach (AAMO) is headquartered in Orange County and has been
incorporated in the State of California as a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that
is committed to serve the Afghan communities through activism and advocacy initiatives
and fostering an Afghan American Muslim identity and good will and mutual respect amongst all.
AAMO is committed to promote Afghan culture and history within the framework of Islamic
values and provide opportunities for the youth to learn and practice the Afghan main languages.
AAMO is dedicated to the development and support of programs that effectively communicate Islamic
education and disseminate the knowledge of Islam for all Afghans. AAMO provides the forum to educate
the Muslims to understand Islam as a faith, as a religion, and as a way of life, and by striving
to create an awareness of the Islamic point of view on issues of contemporary relevance.

AAMO was established through the efforts of some of the Afghans, mostly young generation
who is raised up in the United States and consider the work of Da'wa as an essential part
of life in America. It is the goal of AAMO:
- To advocate unity, harmony, and brotherhood among the Afghan Americans
- To foster, promote, explore and encourage increased communication
interaction, and exchange of ideas among Afghan people of various social, economic, religious,
cultural, and ethnic background
- To provide guidance, help and counseling to the youth in their
spiritual, educational and professional growth.
In order to achieve our goal, Inshallah, AAMO will establish endowments, host seminars, conferences,
and produce high-quality TV shows to promote its mission.
Membership of the AAMO shall be a privilege and open to all Afghans who are interested
to promote the AAMO's mission, accept to strictly abide by and support the mission, policies,
Bylaws, rules and regulations of the Organization, and financially support AAMO with the best
of their ability.
